Another sewn card

I think I have found my new favorite technique to use up all those tiny little fabric scraps that are too small for actual sewing projects: make cute greeting cards!

After my first attempt with a little acorn card a few weeks ago, this was my project one evening last week. I’ve just been a little secretive and didn’t want to show it here before it had reached its destination… but here it is now.

I just love how the different textures work together – soft flannel clouds, a dark denim chimney and a button door knob. I also really like how the embroidered flowers turned out. So pretty, eh?! 🙂

There are so many beautiful cards out there in the stores – I particularly like the ones from Papyrus – but sometimes I find there’s nothing nicer than a little handmade gift! And the possibilities to personalize are endless…

Happy new home, Britta and Pete!!!

Selbst gebastelte Glückwunschkarten wie diese sind kleine Kunstwerke und verdienen es, eingerahmt zu werden! ☺
